Privacy Policy

Fantasy Baseball Edge is currently in beta. This policy reflects our current, limited data practices and will be expanded as the site adds features (such as user accounts or a paid subscription). Sections marked as pending will be completed as our business formalizes.

Fantasy Baseball Edge (“we,” “us,” “our,” “Fantasy Baseball Edge”) operates this website (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

This is an early-stage version of this policy, published while the business is still forming. We will update it as the Site adds features (such as user accounts or payment processing) and as our legal entity and business address are finalized. The version in effect is always the one posted on this page.

1. Who We Are

Fantasy Baseball Edge is an independent fantasy baseball analytics site. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by MLB or the MLBPA.

2. Information We Collect

At this time, the only personal information we collect is:

Email address, if you voluntarily submit it through our newsletter signup form. We use a third-party email service (Beehiiv) to store and send to this list. We collect nothing else about you at this point — we do not currently have user accounts, do not collect passwords, and do not process payments on the Site.

Watchlist feature: the Site includes a “watchlist” star/checkmark feature. This is currently visual only — it exists in your browser’s memory for your current visit and is never saved, stored, or transmitted to us or anyone else. It resets when you refresh or close the page.

Automatically collected analytics: we use [Vercel Analytics] to understand aggregate site usage (such as page views and general traffic patterns). This tool is privacy-friendly by design: it does not use tracking cookies, does not collect personally identifiable information, and does not track you across other websites. We do not currently use Google Analytics or similar cross-site tracking tools.

3. Cookies

We do not currently use tracking or advertising cookies. If this changes (for example, if we add features that require cookies), we will update this policy and, where required by law, request your consent.

4. How We Use Information

We use your email address to:

  • Send the newsletter and related updates you signed up for
  • Communicate important changes to the Site or this policy, if necessary

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your email address with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

5. Third-Party Service Providers

We use the following third-party services to operate the Site. Each processes limited data on our behalf, under their own privacy policies:

  • Beehiiv — stores and manages our email newsletter list
  • Supabase — hosts our database of publicly available baseball statistics and rankings (this database does not contain personal information about Site visitors)
  • Vercel — hosts the Site and may provide the analytics described above

6. Your Rights and Choices

Unsubscribing: every newsletter email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also contact us directly to be removed from our list.

Access or deletion: you can request a copy of, or ask us to delete, any personal information we hold about you (in practice, this means your email address on our newsletter list) by contacting us at hello@fbbedge.com.

7. Children’s Privacy

The Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Site grows — for example, when we introduce user accounts, a paid subscription, or new analytics tools. We will update the “Last updated” date above when changes are made. Material changes will be noted on this page.
